Terms of Service
Effective date: April 2025 — ConnectCare Gold Coast
Please read these terms carefully before using our website or services. These terms apply to all users and participants who engage with ConnectCare Gold Coast.
1. About ConnectCare Gold Coast
ConnectCare Gold Coast ("we", "us", "our") is an unregistered NDIS provider that coordinates, sources and manages subcontracted independent support workers on behalf of NDIS participants. We do not employ support workers directly. We operate across the Gold Coast (QLD) and Northern NSW regions and work exclusively with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our website, submitting an enquiry, booking a service, or engaging with ConnectCare Gold Coast in any capacity, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or website.
3. Services We Provide
We provide worker coordination and support matching services. We do not deliver care directly. All support services are carried out by independent subcontracted workers who hold their own ABN, insurance, and NDIS Worker Screening clearances. ConnectCare Gold Coast acts as a coordination intermediary only.
4. Eligibility
Our services are available to NDIS participants whose funding is self-managed or plan-managed. Agency-managed (NDIA-managed) participants are required to use registered NDIS providers and are not eligible to engage our services. It is your responsibility to confirm your plan management type before engaging us.
5. Pricing & Payments
All rates are aligned with the current NDIS Price Guide and are subject to change in accordance with NDIS updates. Rates displayed on our website are indicative and may vary based on location, service type, worker experience, and agreed terms. Self-managed participants pay invoices directly and claim reimbursement from the NDIS. Plan-managed participants have invoices directed to their registered plan manager. All prices are GST-free unless otherwise stated.
6. Cancellation Policy
We understand that circumstances change. We ask for reasonable notice (minimum 24 hours) when cancelling or rescheduling a support session. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Specific cancellation terms will be outlined in your Service Agreement.
7. Worker Standards
We take reasonable steps to verify that all coordinated workers hold valid credentials including: an active ABN, NDIS Worker Screening clearance, National Police Check, and Public Liability Insurance. Personal care workers must hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent. However, ConnectCare Gold Coast does not guarantee the conduct or performance of independent workers and is not liable for actions taken by coordinated workers outside of our reasonable oversight.
8. No Lock-in Contracts
Participants are not locked in to long-term contracts. You may pause, adjust, or cease services at any time with reasonable notice. All ongoing arrangements are detailed in a Service Agreement provided at the commencement of services.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, ConnectCare Gold Coast will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our services or website. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Privacy
We collect and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Your information is used solely to coordinate support services and will not be sold or shared with third parties except as required to deliver your services.
